I know it’s hard to imagine as you look out your window today, but spring is on its way — and so is the spring housing market.
So what can you expect this season in and around the Boston area?
Local real estate economists and brokers across Greater Boston are projecting another competitive spring market, though more balanced than the frenzy of the past few years.
Inventory remains tight, but buyers have adjusted to the interest rates, and serious house hunters are already preparing for the spring surge.
Well-priced, move-in-ready homes are still attracting strong interest — and often multiple offers.
The takeaway?
✔️ Pricing strategy matters
✔️ Preparation matters
✔️ Timing matters
As a Compass agent, I don’t just list homes — I leverage Compass’s Private Exclusives, pre-marketing strategies, and data-driven pricing tools to create demand before your home officially hits the market. That’s how we generate leverage, stronger terms, and top-dollar results.
If you’re even considering a move this spring, don’t wait until everyone else does.
📩 Message me now for a customized spring strategy and a clear plan to maximize your home’s value.

Reverend Jesse Jackson, a towering figure of the U.S. civil rights movement and protégé of Martin Luther King Jr., has died at 84.
In a powerful statement, his family said:
“Our father was a servant leader—not only to our family, but to the oppressed, the voiceless, and the overlooked around the world. We shared him with the world, and in return, the world became part of our extended family. His unwavering belief in justice, equality, and love uplifted millions, and we ask you to honor his memory by continuing the fight for the values he lived by.”
Rev. Jackson marched alongside Dr. King in pivotal civil rights campaigns and went on to become one of the most influential activists of the modern era, expanding political participation and championing economic and social justice for decades.
Leaders from across the globe, including Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton, praised his lifelong contributions and lasting impact on the nation.
Rest in peace, Rev. Jackson. 🕊️

Should I try a For Sale By Owner (FSBO)?
What have I got to lose?
ANSWER:
Money… and possibly your sanity 😅
I know, I know — “Of course a Realtor would say that.”
But hear me out.
Pricing your home isn’t a guess, a vibe, or what your neighbor thinks it’s worth. It’s a strategy. Realtors price homes by analyzing similar sales, current demand, and timing — because the first price is the most important price and often determines whether you attract one buyer… or ten.
FSBO sellers also don’t have access to the same marketing firepower:
📸 Professional photography
📐 Floor plans
🚁 Drone shots (when it makes sense)
🌎 Local, national and international exposure
Plus, I guide sellers on how to prep their home so it shows in its best possible light.

When a home is marketed the right way, it can attract multiple offers. That’s where experience comes in. I help sellers use that momentum to negotiate better price, stronger buyers, fewer contingencies, and cleaner timelines.
Then come inspections and appraisals — where deals often fall apart.
I negotiate inspection requests so sellers don’t give back thousands unnecessarily, and I manage appraisal challenges with data, strategy, and calm (instead of panic).
And about avoiding commission…
Most buyers work with buyer agents anyway. So FSBO sellers often pay that commission and sell for less because they lack competition and negotiation leverage.
So before you go it alone (with yard signs, phone calls, and Advil), let's have a conversation.
📞 It costs nothing to talk.
💰 It could put more money in your pocket.
Spring 2026 is coming fast — let’s make a smart plan before the sign goes in the yard.
Thinking of selling? Let’s talk.
What have you got to lose? 👋

Today is World Cancer Day 💜
A day to honor those we’ve lost, stand with those currently fighting, and celebrate the survivors who remind us what strength really looks like.
Cancer touches almost every family in some way. Today is about awareness, compassion, early detection, and hope—for better treatments, better outcomes, and a future with fewer diagnoses.
If you’re fighting, supporting someone who is, or remembering a loved one today: you’re not alone. 🤍
Take a moment to check in on someone, share a message of encouragement, or support a cancer charity if you’re able.
Together, we keep pushing for a world where cancer doesn’t define lives.

When is the best time to sell my home? 🏡
This is one of the most common questions I get.
Statistically, the best time to sell is spring into early summer — especially February through April.
National data shows homes listed during this window often sell faster and for stronger prices.
That said, real life doesn’t always follow statistics.
New job opportunity?
Change in family needs?
Looking for a better school district?
Moving closer to aging parents?
Life events often decide when you sell more than the calendar.
It’s also important to remember: buyers are people too.
They’re relocating for work, returning to their hometown, upsizing, downsizing, or adjusting to their own life changes—no matter the season.
Bottom line: The best time to sell is when it makes sense for you, paired with the right pricing and strategy.

As we all know by now a big storm is on its way. Quick reminder: Don’t forget the bread and milk !!!
But seriously, a little winter prep now can save you from frozen pipes, roof leaks, and those “oh no” repair bills later.
Here are a few easy things to stay ahead of during extreme cold 👇
🧊 Pipes first
Keep the heat on (yes, even if you’re away), insulate exposed pipes, let faucets drip during deep freezes, and disconnect outdoor hoses.
❄️ Keep an eye on the roof
Heavy snow, clogged gutters, and ice dams can cause real damage. If you see big icicles or water stains inside, don’t ignore them.
🔥 Heating & safety check
Have your system serviced, keep space heaters clear of anything flammable, clean fireplaces, and make sure smoke & CO detectors are working.
🌬️ Seal out the cold
A little weather-stripping around doors and windows goes a long way.
⚡ Be storm-ready
Flashlights, batteries, charge phones. —and don’t forget to clear snow away from vents and gas meters.
🏡 Real talk: Most winter damage I see during home inspections is preventable. A few small steps now can save thousands later.

The Trinity Team at Compass has once again helped a client successfully close on a fabulous off-market home.

Our client was growing frustrated with the lack of inventory and the constant competition among buyers. After contacting the Trinity Team, we were able to leverage our deep local knowledge and strong developer relationships to introduce them to the seller of an off-market property—creating an opportunity that never hit the open market.

We’re happy to report that this family is now preparing to move into their new home and begin an exciting new chapter.

While we collaborate as the Trinity Team, each agent works independently to best serve their clients. Kathleen Dailey, Dona Fraenkel and Joe Quigley are three highly experienced real estate agents who would be happy to help with your home search.

If you’re feeling stuck, frustrated, or think you’ve seen everything the market has to offer—think again. Reach out today and let’s uncover opportunities others never see. Your next home may already be waiting.

Did you know Zillow doesn’t show every home for sale?
Or that the public MLS search doesn’t show everything?
When the public searches the MLS, they see only listings approved for public display. Brokers, however, see all active listings, including restricted, delayed, and office-exclusive properties—and can share those opportunities with their clients.
Zillow is a great starting point — as are public MLS searches.
However, some listings don’t appear due to syndication choices, private listings, or industry rules. Here’s why:
• Some homes are listed in the MLS but not syndicated to public sites
• Others are office-exclusive or private listings
• New industry rules limit how and when listings can be shared
• Data feeds don’t always sync perfectly
The result?
👉 Buyers may be missing opportunities
👉 Sellers may not realize how exposure really works
Thinking of buying or selling and want to be sure you’re seeing or getting full exposure? Knowledge is leverage in today’s market.

Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
MLK
At a time when our country is once again wrestling with questions of immigration, enforcement, and human dignity, many Americans feel a deep tension — a desire for laws to be upheld and for people to be treated with fairness, humanity, and respect.
Dr. King reminded us that justice is not only about order, but about dignity. He believed that laws must serve people — and that the measure of a nation is how it treats the most vulnerable among it.
If Dr. King were speaking to us today, maybe his message would sound something like this:
Stand for justice, but don’t let compassion fade.
Protect borders, but don’t harden your heart.
Respect the rule of law, while remembering that every person has value and dignity.
MLK Day is not just a day off — it’s a day on. A day to listen, to lead with empathy, and to recommit to a country where rights, dignity, and opportunity are not selective, but shared.
