Huge congrats to this stud on not only closing on his first home this spring but also on getting to watch his first Knicks finals game ever tonight (because they have sucked his entire life) 🗽🏡

This one actually goes back a few years. Alex was referred to me by one of my absolute favorite Compass colleagues, , who is a rockstar agent out of Westchester NY, to originally to help him find an apartment when he first moved to the city. Unfortunately from my team found him a spot so quick I had never even met him in person. Over the years though we’d keep in contact and he’d toy with the idea of buying, but the timing was never quite right. We stayed connected though and there was never any rush.

Fast forward to this past December, when he shot me a text asking if I’d mind showing him a place in East Boston. He was upfront with the fact he was not necessarily looking to buy yet, just wanted to start getting a feel for what was out there. We never ended up seeing that exact unit due to scheduling and it going under contract, but we got out and toured a couple other spots in his price range. Nothing clicked, but it was all useful.

Then about a month and a half later, he sent over a different unit in that same East Boston building. It had been sitting on the market and we saw it as an opportunity. We got in, and this time it was just the right fit. Brand new everything and a commute that worked perfectly. He didn’t overthink it. We put together an offer that made sense and got it done. Decisiveness always wins in this market!

Alex - my guy! Buying your first home at your age is a massive accomplishment and I hope you’ve celebrated it fully. Sick bachelor pad for now and great investment for the future. Congrats to Chris and Raven on closing on their new home! 🏡

I’ve known Chris since we were kids. I remember him as a little guy, always trying to get that cute little contagious belly laugh out of him. He now has facial hair, a successful contracting business, an awesome wife, and is a dad to an adorable little girl with another on the way. Damn proud of my guy!

When he first reached out to me I was immediately impressed by the position he and Raven had put themselves in. Debts paid off, great income, and they were already set up to be fantastic buyers. They had two simple rules. Stay in Saugus, ideally the neighborhood where we all grew up, and find a lot big enough to build the home they’ve always dreamed of.

When a home popped up in the old neighborhood, Chris was insistent and the stress of possibly losing the house even brought out his cranky side a bit. So we got to work, put together a compelling offer ahead of the deadline, and got the call that it was accepted. We were all ecstatic and relieved! And naturally, Chris was already mapping out every renovation he wanted to do even though the house is move-in ready. I suppose that’s what you do when you’re in the biz.

Chris and Raven, I am so happy for you both. I already know this is going to be your forever home and you’re going to build such a great life for your soon to be family of four. Huge congrats to Luciano, Anaya, and sweet baby Desi on closing on their first home 🔑

Luch and Anaya started their search earlier this year wanting to settle into a home with their new family of 3. They were searching in a very competitive price point and truly looked at everything. They dialed in and toured homes every weekend, sometimes up to 10 in a single weekend across multiple towns. They lost one offer early on but didn’t let it phase them at all. They just stayed consistent, stayed patient, and kept going.

About a month ago, they walked into an open house and felt like it could be the one. They called me right after and mentioned the agent was taking offers as they came in and that a quick close would be valuable since the home was vacant. I immediately called the listing agent and asked if the seller would consider an offer that night if we came in strong with a quick close. We got the green light, and within an hour we had an offer written for over ask and a 3 week close.

The goal was to get in first, get it accepted, and create leverage… and that’s exactly what happened. After some persistence, we got the call around 11pm that night - offer accepted! Then at inspection, we were able to negotiate a $14,000 credit toward future repairs, which is a huge win in a market where most buyers are getting nothing.

Luch and Anaya, I’m so happy for you guys. I know how much work went into this and you truly earned every bit of it. No help or handouts, just busting that ass and making it happen! Thank you for trusting me throughout the process. The most rewarding part has been meeting Desi and watching you both as new parents over the past 3 months.
