Maine will always have my heart and Terrace By The Sea offered a warm welcome back for our quick visit 🌊
Chris Filiberto and I first stayed at Terrace by the Sea in 2008 or 2009 and experienced their 4th of July bbq on their front yard overlooking the water with a front row view of the fireworks.
We visited a couple times after.
In 2019, we returned with Luca. We didn’t have a car and would take the train to Wells and Uber from there. At the last minute, our Uber canceled for our return trip to the train station. Another gentleman and his wife staying at the hotel had jokingly offered to drive us to the North End earlier in the day. When the uber canceled, I swallowed all pride and asked this gentleman if he would drive us to the train station. He happily did so.
7 years later, I couldn’t have told you his name or what he looked like, but when he walked out of the room next to ours this weekend — I knew who he was in an instant. A true angel on earth.
