Our beloved mascot Natale passed away 4 weeks ago today. Not only was she the inspiration behind the company and logo, she was a reminder to treat everyone with kindness and if you can’t be friends, you can co-exist peacefully.

Why it’s important that your real estate agent/ broker understands at least the basics of (real estate) finance:

Me- Are there are any points with that loan?

Mortgage broker- it’s 2 points upfront unless you put down an additional 5%. I don’t know why anyone would put down the 5% when they can do 2%.

Me- 2 points goes directly to you where 5% is equity in the property so I’m paying myself.

Mortgage broker- I never looked at it that way.

While a real estate broker/ sales person can’t give you financial advice and is limited on what they can say in regards to mortgages, it’s helpful having someone who can help you ask the right questions.

She’s mostly retired at 14, but is still a reminder to be kind towards others.

She will however spend part of her birthday weekend working as she’s probably coming to a final walk through out west with me on Monday.
