Our team joined Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, and housing partners from across Massachusetts to celebrate a fresh round of housing investments that will create and preserve thousands of homes statewide.
Two Beacon communities were included in this year's awards. New funding will support the preservation and rehabilitation of Chatham West Apartments in Brockton, helping ensure 300 affordable homes remain a part of the community for years to come. It will also advance 793 Washington Street in Newton, a new 58-home family community that will expand affordable housing opportunities in a transit-accessible neighborhood.
We are grateful for the leadership of the Healey-Driscoll Administration and the many public and private partners working to create more housing opportunities across the Commonwealth.
