How many times have you applied for a role and been turned away?

Same 🤦🏾‍♀️ I actually remember going for so many leadership roles and being rejected despite being told that I nailed the interview and met all the job requirements. I felt soooo REJECTED!

I could either be angry and upset or take this as, REDIRECTION ! At 24 my end goal was not the team lead role that I had applied for. I wanted bigger things in the next 5 years, BUT I thought that this role was supposed to be a stepping stone to my 5 year plan.

Let me ask you 🤔 .... what are your goals? What is your plan to get there? Just because one door closed, does that mean that you missed your only opportunity in?

Think again my friend. What skill sets were you hoping to gain from the role that you were turned away from? In what other ways can you gain these skills? 🤷🏾‍♀️
