Proof that the best connections happen when you least expect them. Emily and I ended up talking to a lovely couple at a street festival beer garden, instantly clicked, and spent the rest of the day laughing with them and their friends. Fast-forward — they’re married, ready to buy their first home, and we got to help make it happen. A smooth, speedy journey to homeownership and a friendship we’re grateful for. It’s moments like these that remind us: you never know who you’ll meet, how your paths will cross, or how friendships will grow. So happy for these two and their beautiful new beginning. Cheers!💙

I’ve recently seen a couple of examples (in Bellevue with friends' family members) of how easily older homeowners—like our parents and grandparents—can fall victim to real estate scams. Many aren’t familiar with today’s tech and paperwork, and scammers know it. If you have aging loved ones, here are a few simple ways to help protect them:
✅ Talk to them about common scams
✅ Consider adding a second signer for big property decisions
✅ Encourage them to check with a trusted real estate professional before signing anything
