When we decided to start selling homes last year it wasn't a decision that we made lightly. In fact, it was one that we wrestled with for years as so much of our purpose and identity was based in our long standing commitment to buyer representation, and while we knew that our commitment to buyers wouldn't be diminished by the change, it may have come as a shock to many of you. So, we wanted to share more about why we made the change.

It really stemmed from what we were hearing from many of our valued clients and friends. That is that they deeply appreciated the guidance and unparalleled service that they received when purchasing their home with Agents for Home Buyers and that they wish we could help them in the future when the time comes to sell their home.This is the story of the Johnsons. We changed their name for privacy, but the story is shared with their permission. Larry and Linda Johnson first worked with Norris 25 years ago when they bought a home in a new development in 1999. At the time they had two young sons, Luke and Levi.

Years later in 2016, as a young man and recently married, Luke bought his first home with the A4HB team at his side. And then when they outgrew that home, we helped them buy again in 2019.

Levi also decided to buy a home for his family. So, we helped them with that purchase in 2017, and eventually another earlier this year. Unfortunately, we weren't able to help either of the sons with their home sales as we were bound to be exclusive buyers agents.

After working with this family for so long and through so many of life's transitions, when Linda came to us to say that she was ready to let go of that home that she bought so many years ago with Norris, we were thrilled to finally be able to say, "YES!" This was exactly the reason we decided to start helping people sell homes. We wanted to be able to deliver the same high-level, ethical and data-driven guidance in selling the home, just as we did when we helped each of you buy. We wanted our clients, turned friends, turned family to know that A4HB will be there for them through all of life's seasons.

We couldn't be more proud to share that Linda received an offer, over-asking price just closed on the sale of her home! We also helped her to relocate to a home right across the street from Luke to be closer to her family and spend more time with grandkids.

We just hope that someday we are lucky enough to get to help those grandkids buy their first home.
