Real Estate Agent vs. REALTOR®... What's the Difference? 🏡
While the terms are often used interchangeably, they aren't the same.
A real estate agent is licensed to help clients buy, sell, and rent real estate.
A REALTOR® is a licensed real estate professional who is also a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and agrees to follow its strict Code of Ethics, putting honesty, transparency, and their clients' best interests first.
Every REALTOR® is a real estate agent, but not every real estate agent is a REALTOR®.
Understanding the difference can help you choose the right professional when it's time to buy or sell your home.
