here’s some fun facts about denver...

🏙 denver’s nicknamed the mile high city because it sits at exactly one mile, or 5,280 feet above sea level.

🍻 denver brews more beer than any other city in the nation, with over 200 different beers brewed daily.

🛍 the 16th street mall in benver was designed by master architect i.m. pei, who also created the glass pyramid outside the louvre in pairs.

🌯 denver was home to the very first chipotle mexican grill.

🤷‍♀️ in denver, it is unlawful to lend your vacuum cleaner to your neighbor.

we move to be free. 🧜🏻‍♀️

if you’ve been following along for a while, you know i love movement. period. 💃

moving the body, breath, vision, perspective, and just about anything that can be moved (shifted). 🔄

i help people move to spaces so they can feel free. 🙌🏻

in that freedom, i hope they become more fully themselves. 🥰

if there’s a space you’d like to see, i absolutely love showing properties where you can envision a life being lived there. 🏠

dm me and let’s make it happen! 📲

here’s some news on the Land Back movement. 🪶

the Yurok Tribe of northern california, will be getting a slice of its land back to serve as a new gateway to redwood national and state parks. they had 90% of their territory taken from them during the gold rush of the mid-1800s.

the Yurok will be the first Native people to manage tribal land with the national park service. 🦅

the agreement “starts the process of changing the narrative about how, by whom and for whom we steward natural lands,” sam hodder, president and ceo of save the redwoods league, said in a statement.

under the deal, the tribe will re-gain stewardship of the 125 acres near the tiny northern california community of orick in humboldt county in 2026 after the restoration of a local tributary, prairie creek, is complete. The site will introduce visitors to Yurok customs, culture, and history.

some of the world’s tallest trees can found here. some reaching more than 350 feet. 🌳

for the tribe, redwoods are considered living beings and traditionally only fallen trees have been used to build their homes and canoes. 🛶

“as the original stewards of this land, we look forward to working together with the redwood national and state parks to manage it,” rosie clayburn, the tribe’s cultural resources director, said. this is work that we’ve always done and continued to fight for, but I feel like the rest of the world is catching up and starting to see that Native people know how to manage this land the best.” 💛

this is a long and developing story, so we’ll post the updates. 👏🏻
