Labor Day may mark the end of summer, but it might also mark the beginning of the best season to buy a house.

Most people assume spring is the sweet spot. Historically, fall tells a different story: more choices, less competition and more negotiating room.

Realtor.com identified mid-October as the best buying window nationally - and in Denver, competition during that period has historically been nearly 50% lower than at its peak.

Something to keep in mind if a move has been in the back of your mind.

I do not have a green thumb, but I love supporting the people who do - especially when Colorado’s late-summer fruit and vegetable harvest is at its peak.

Whole Foods is obviously great, but my personal favorite is King Soopers, founded by Lloyd King—who also happens to be the visionary behind Bow Mar, my favorite town in Colorado.

A little local history to go with all that Colorado-grown produce! I love geeking out over amazing produce almost as much as I love geeking out over real estate.

And no, you do not necessarily have to be a veteran to assume it.
