Word of the Day: EQUITY

🥺You: I want to buy a house but I’m going to wait until (insert reason here).

🧐Me: Do you know what equity is?

🤷🏽‍♀️You: Ummm. I think so, like I’ve heard the word.. it’s how much your house is worth right?

✋🏾Me: Not quite.. it’s the difference between what you owe the bank and what your home is worth on the market. That figure is your equity.

💭You: Ohhh okay. 😐 So.. that’s what I make when I sell after however many years?

🗣️Me: YEP!

👀You: Oh so… if I’m renting for 15 years and move, I just leave with nothing but if I sell after 15 years, I can make a profit?

😎Me: YEP! Fastest and most secure way to get a return on investment. The time is going to pass anyway.

Price Adjustments and Price Improvements are just the market's way of saying "I THINK NOT!!"
