We’re two full weeks into 2026.

This is usually the point where some New Year goals are still going strong — and others quietly get pushed to “maybe later.”

Buying a home (especially for the first time) often ends up in that second category — not because people don’t want it, but because there aren’t clear daily actions like there are with goals such as fitness or budgeting.

What tends to make it easier is understanding the process early — timing, preparation, and what actually matters before you’re ready to move.

I’ve already had a few first-time buyers reach out this year just to get clarity, even though they’re still several months away.

When you understand the steps and can tie them to a realistic timeline, following through becomes much easier.

Having that first conversation with the right people is often what turns a vague goal into a realistic plan.
