Boynton Bay Apartments a beautiful garden style Tax Credit Senior Community is in need of a Maintenance Technician to be part of a team.
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – JOB DESCRIPTION
General Purpose:
The Maintenance Technician is a uniformed positioned reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
Essential Functions
• Perform tasks in accordance with the schedule prepared by the Maintenance
Supervisor.
• Use manual and electric tools necessary to perform Maintenance Technician’s duties.
• Perform turnover of apartments, including cleaning, painting, carpet shampooing and other repairs as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Promptly report actual and potential problems, including potential liability and work place hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Occasionally climb ladders to a height in excess 10 feet to a maximum of 25 feet depending upon the nature of the property.
• Occasionally lift and carry weight up to 45 lbs. without assistance for up to 50 feet.
• Perform all maintenance and repair operations at the site, including responding to service requests within 24 hours, and refurbishing vacant units within 5 working days.
• Aid in maintaining all buildings, common areas, and grounds in a safe and clean manner.
• Wear personal protective equipment, as required by policy, including lumbar belt, wrap around safety goggles and out/slash proof gloves.
• Regular attendance on the job.
• Adhere to Company policy.
Other Duties:
• Respond to training provided by the Maintenance Supervisor to improve qualifications to perform repairs of increasing complexity on buildings, systems, and equipment contained in the property.
• Be available for emergency call, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week when required.
• Wear the prescribed uniform at all times during working hours.
• Attend and participate in the presentation of regularly scheduled safety meetings.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
• Must have own tools.
•Reliable transportation.
