FYI:With these anticipated temperatures, Palm Beach County is preparing to activate the Cold Weather Shelter Program beginning Saturday, January 31 at 7:00 P.M.

On Saturday, January 31, Sunday, February 1, and Monday, February 2, 2026 the following cold weather shelters will open overnight each evening beginning at 7:00 P.M. and close at 9:00 A.M. each morning.

Hello I hope this message finds you well,
I’m currently working alongside the Jamaican Government to support small businesses in reopening after the devastation of Hurricane Melissa. As many of you know, government processes take time and our communities can’t afford to wait.

That’s why I’ve launched this GoFundMe campaign to provide immediate, grassroots support to Jamaica’s micro enterprises.
After every disaster, local entrepreneurs are often sidelined from rebuilding efforts not because they lack vision or drive, but because survival takes precedence. Most relief efforts rightly focus on personal and family emergencies. But if we want long-term recovery, we must also help our communities get back to work.
This campaign is about restoring livelihoods, dignity, and economic independence.

Palm Beach County has received a major disaster declaration from the President authorizing the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to release federal funds to people and communities recovering from Hurricane Milton. Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover.

The first step for individuals and business owners needing assistance is to apply online at disasterassistance.gov, through the toll-free registration hotline at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or by downloading the FEMA app.
