A man was fishing in Alaska, not far from where bears often wandered. One afternoon, he noticed a thin bear lingering nearby. Feeling a pull of compassion, he left one of his catches on the riverbank. For the next few days, he did the same always careful, always leaving a single fish.

Then, one morning, he woke up to something strange. Resting on his car’s dashboard was a freshly caught fish. Confused, he checked the trail camera he had set up.

The footage stunned him the very same bear he had been feeding had carried a fish back and placed it there, returning the kindness.

Today is a day we celebrate those in our community who are over 80. The celebration is a very festive occasion. This year it is chaired by Sue Lauder and Phyllis Veltre. Great job ladies, the clubhouse looks amazing.
