The new Big Sky Resort Tram construction is in full swing! Concrete pouring has officially begun at the new tram’s bottom terminal. Located at 9,000 feet above sea level at the base of the Bowl, this concrete foundation is built to withstand extreme amounts of force as the bottom anchor to the tram. Each new tram car will hold 75 people versus the 15 people that the existing tram holds. Gaston Engineering & Surveying employees are working hard with the team to get the project completed successfully.

We completed our largest mapping project to date this morning in conjunction with Gaston Engineering & Surveying, P.C. to capture the Ennis-Big Sky airport expansion.

Gaston Engineering & Surveying is open for business!! We have staff working from home so the phones will be directed to a central number that can get you to the right project manager. After a lengthy selection process and interview with the School District and School Board, Gaston Engineering is excited about being selected as the Bozeman School District's Civil Engineering Consultant. We look forward to working with the district on future projects as Bozeman continues to grow.

Gaston Engineering & Surveying, P.C. is excited to welcome 3 new employees to our firm:

Brandon Whitworth has a Construction Engineering Technology Degree and worked with the Montana Department of Transportation - he will be providing Field Inspection, Materials testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt, SWPPP Administration, and other Sr. Technician duties.

Paul Herbst has a Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering degree from Montana State University and joins our Engineering department to provide design for municipal water and sewer, on-site wastewater systems, and road infrastructure projects, along with land planning and subdivision design.

Brandon Schreiner joins the Surveying department to perform topographic, boundary, and ALTA surveys, floodplain determinations, construction staking, along with land planning and subdivision design. He's a civil engineering graduate from MSU with a minor in surveying.

Gaston Engineering would like to welcome new hires: Paul Herbst and Brandon Whitworth. Paul has a Mechanical Engineering degree and will finish his Civil Engineering degree this spring. He is working with us on various Engineering and Soils testing projects. Brandon has a Construction Engineering Technology degree and has worked with the Montana Department of Transportation as a field technician. He will be the field technician for our Federal Highways project and all of the MDT SWPPP Projects. We welcome both Paul and Brandon to our firm.

What a wonderful organization! Eagle Mount provides quality services and facilities to those with cancer or disabilities; as well as providing support for families affected by cancer and disability throughout the Bozeman Community. We recently worked with Eagle Mount on their public water system and it was a great experience to help provide quality facilities to an organization that has such a positive impact in the Bozeman Community.

Eagle Mount empowers children and adults with a range of challenges to experience adventures.

The North 7th Interchange Project is still ongoing - if you travel over the North 7th Highway Bridge on a regular basis, you may want to find an alternate route. The eastbound on-ramp will be closed for a few days coming up soon.
