UPDATE: Yellowstone National Park’s North Entrance and road to Mammoth Hot Springs opens TODAY, Oct. 30

Yellowstone to waive all entrance fees Oct. 30 and Oct. 31

MAMMOTH HOT SPRINGS, WY – Effective immediately, Yellowstone National Park’s North Entrance in Gardiner, Montana, and road between the North Entrance and Mammoth Hot Springs (Old Gardiner Road) is open to regular visitor traffic. Contractors completed striping yesterday, Oct. 29.

The public should keep the following details in mind when driving the road:

Yellowstone reminds the public of everyone’s responsibility to use the road carefully to avoid accidents.

Steep grades and sharp curves exist. Drive slowly and with caution.

Speed limits range between 15-25 mph.

There are no length or weight restrictions on the road (see exceptions), however, oversized vehicles and vehicles with trailers must use caution in curves to maintain lanes.

After receiving a newsletter from a reputable property management TRAINING firm touting this security deposit "insurance," I did a little search and found this. I miss the days when people were honest with each other.

Alternatives to upfront security deposits, like "security deposit insurance," sound like a good idea. But it's not actually insurance.

Bozeman Police Department is preparing for a busy Fourth of July

This is one of the few times a year when Bozeman residents are legally allowed to use fireworks within the city.

Fireworks can be used July 3-5 during the following times:
• July 3 Noon to 12:00 a.m.
• July 4 Noon to 1:00 a.m.
• July 5 Noon to 12:00 a.m.

Permitted fireworks (Ch. 18 Article 5) include:
• Fireworks that go no higher than 15 feet and not designed to explode.
• Sparklers under 12 inches in length.
• Wheels with up to 6 “driver” units or tubes.

Allowed locations for using fireworks:
• Private property with permission.
• Not upon major arterial streets or alley’s.
• Not within 300 feet of a public park.
• Not within 1000 feet of any hospital, nursing, or assisted living facility.
• Not under or upon a motor vehicle, whether moving or not.
• Not within 300 feet of any gas station.
