Since the last blizzard was a decade ago, here are a few things homeowners can do while we are all staying inside.

1. Safety first. Check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and keep exterior vents clear of snow. Do not run generators inside, and make sure space heaters are at least three feet from flammable materials.

2. Tackle a few small projects. Declutter closets, touch up paint, or finally organize that junk drawer.

3. Plan ahead. Research future home upgrades or replacements. Who does not want to browse online for new cabinets?

Just a few ideas to stay busy while indoors. If you would rather rewatch your favorite show, that works too. Stay warm.
