Broadbent Wildlife Sanctuary staff has been rehabilitating this Broad-winged hawk due to a leg injury. He still has a way to go, but the leg has significantly improved with laser therapy and other accommodations set up to help him learn to use it again. He'll have to stay with us till spring, however, since by the time he's ready for release, he will have missed his window for migration to Central/South America. We'll keep him safe till then and look forward to returning him to the wild in a few months!
