If this isn't your idea of a care package, then make sure to get your cat spayed or neutered.
Public Vet will be in Brazil on Fri., 5/22/26 for a Spay/Neuter Clinic for cats and kittens (6 weeks & older). Appointments MUST be made online via their website: www.pub.vet. Partial financial assistance available on a case-by-case basis thanks to Pet Friendly Services - apply for that while making your appt. online. This clinic is open to ANYONE who needs to get their cat spayed/neutered. Let's get those kitties fixed!
CCHS is ALSO offering financial assistance to CLAY COUNTY residents. To apply for a $20 voucher: 1) Make your cat an appt. online with Public Vet 2) Stop in the Clay Co Humane Society Fri., 5/8 1pm-5pm or Sat., 5/9 2pm-6pm and present A) photo ID AND B) most recent utility bill with your Clay Co address & C) verification of your cat's appt. at Public Vet in Brazil on 5/22/26. Limit 2 vouchers/household.
Last year in Brazil, Public Vet altered/fixed/spayed & neutered 393 cats at 4 clinics in 4 days! They can alter over 100 cats at 1 clinic! If we don't sell out these clinics, then they won't keep us on the schedule.
Now is the time to BEAT THE SUMMER HEAT. Please make an appt. so fewer cats and kittens enter the shelter this year or face abandonment in the community. If you can't afford to have one altered/fixed, letting them have more only adds to your cost.
