For the past 25 + years I’ve been working in the Title Insurance industry. Most of those years as a Title Officer. That means I was the one reviewing all the documentation, approving it and closing your transactions. For the past 5 years however, I’ve switched directions and took my Title knowledge into the Sales Field as a Title Sales Representative. I feel I’ve basically paid my dues and learned a ton about Title. That being said….

Remember if your seller or borrower is telling you their liens/loans were taken care of through a BK (bankruptcy) make sure their attorney filed a Motion to Avoid Lien. The BK only removes the lien from them as an individual but not from the property.
