In this month's newsletter, I talked a lot about investing in older homes. An older property gives you more flexibility to remodel, expand, and make it your own, plus older homes often sit on prime pieces of land with incredible views. That's why I purchased this ranch that my family and I affectionately call "The Hacienda" because of its southwest style. It may not be our rustic mountain style but it has the potential to be a great investment home with a little bit (or a lot) of work.

Many people like the idea of turnkey properties but if you're a little on the adventurous side and want to have things exactly the way you'd like them, don't be afraid to invest in a house that may not seen "perfect." This house at 213 Briar Rose in Breckenridge, CO is an excellent example. The location and view are amazing, the size is great, and with some remodeling, this could easily be a multi-million dollar home in downtown Breck.

You asked and we answered. While these are no secrets to someone who has been in real estate and construction for almost 20 years, these are some pretty good tips for selling your home.
The two most important things are 1) finding the right broker to sell your house and 2) listening to your knowledgeable realtor when they give you a suggested list price. In today's market, especially in very sought after areas like Colorado, well-priced homes are selling very quickly. But on top of price, these other helpful hints are good ideas to aid in the process of .
I'm just like you; I sold my own home less than a year ago and we used all of these tips & tricks from HGTV to make a sale. Enjoy!
