I’ll admit that I always love a ride in a helicopter buzzing over mountain tops. Heli‑skiing probably gave me one of the most unforgettable, adrenaline‑filled mountain experiences of my life. 😉

But sometimes a helicopter ride isn’t about fresh powder and bragging rights… sometimes it’s a race to get someone safely down to lower altitude in a hurry.

The 26th Annual Flight for Life Golf Classic sold out in a heartbeat at the invitation‑only Sanctuary Golf Course, a place many golfers might consider a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience.

The Hearts & Soles 5K and 1‑Mile Walk isn’t just a race or a walk - it’s a physical expression of gratitude for our local Cancer infusion center and the people it serves.

Every step on that course is for another drive someone doesn’t have to take on I‑70.
Every mile walked is a mile they don’t have to drive for treatment.
Every runner, walker, volunteer, and sponsor becomes part of the safety net that keeps care local.

Today was part fundraiser, part love letter to our highly regarded local hospital and the residents whose lives depend on it.

Very proud of our hospital, my friends who have recovered from their treatments here locally and all it’s doing to keep services available to all of us in the mountains.

Labor Day is ushering in the first signs of Autumn - the aspens are already lighting up the high country. It’s a perfect day for a scenic mountain drive and an even better backdrop to wish everyone a well‑earned day off.

Today, the Breckenridge mountains are still holding onto summer. The black ski runs are still etched in green and the aspens are waiting in the wings before they flip to gold.

The whole town looks gorgeous heading into the long Labor Day weekend!
