A little bit about me...I feel fortunate to be in a place as wonderful as Summit County. Never having been here before making it our home, my husband and I decided to move to Colorado in 2012. We got jobs working for the mountains, in Keystone and Breckenridge. I am happy to say that a season turned in to several, and we have been able to put roots in to this incredible community. Working for the

reservations department in Keystone afforded me the opportunity to learn the lay of the land pretty quickly. Having a strong customer service background, I was successful in that position and soon started thinking about a career in real estate. Through an acquaintance, I learned of a position opening up as a front desk administrator for a local real estate company in Breckenridge. I was awarded that position, and happily worked and learned and soaked up all I could for the next 2 years. At that point, I was looking to grow a little further professionaly, and a call from a former co-worker about a broker assistant position couldn't have been timed any better. After meeting with Todd and Barb Rankin, I knew I had found the motivated, smart, and enthusiastic team I was looking for to start my journey into being a broker myself. Whether you live here full time, visit occaisonally, or have only been once, I think it's safe to say you've shared moments that have become lasting memories. This place is unique in that we are all here because we want to be. Many, like myself, have moved here from far away places and have no intention of leaving anytime soon. Whether I'm hiking, biking, painting, snowboarding or even going to the post office, I am in awe of the natural beauty that surrounds us here in Summit. I love the people, the lifestyle, and plan on sharing my love of this life with those around me for as long as possible. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to assist you in your real estate needs, or for the chance to share my favorite burger joint with you! Welcome to June! Summer in Summit County is almost here, and the lineup is looking really good.

Hiking trails are opening back up, Lake Dillon is calling for paddleboarding and kayaking days, and the event calendar is already packed. We're talking free NRO concerts, the Agave Festival, Food & Wine Festival, Summer Beer Festival, Fourth of July celebrations, live music all season long, and a Sunday market on Main Street every week through September. There is truly no shortage of ways to spend a summer day up here.

Every season in Summit County has something to look forward to, but summer just may take the crown!

What are you most excited about this summer?

Selling a property doesn't always go smoothly, and that's okay.

Sometimes a home needs a little extra work, a new lens, or simply more time than expected. It's a reason to shift perspective, get creative, and uncover solutions you might not have seen coming.

Every property has a buyer. My job is to help discover what it takes to get there, stay patient through the process, and make sure you never feel like you're figuring it all out alone.

One of the things I love most about Summit County is that world-class experiences show up in the most unexpected, intimate ways, and the Alpenglow Chamber Music Festival is a perfect example.

For nearly 30 years, this incredible organization has been bringing exceptional live chamber music to our mountains every August. This year's festival runs August 13–22, and whether you're a lifelong classical music lover or just curious, there's a place for you there. The venues are intimate, the performers are extraordinary, and the setting is, well, it's Summit County. Hard to beat.

Beyond the performances, Alpenglow has spent decades educating students, donating instruments, and building scholarship programs in our community. This is exactly the kind of organization that makes this place so special.

Having a great mentor in this business is everything.

My mentor in the business was always so busy but incredibly health-conscious. He never had time to stop and eat, so there was always a cucumber or a carrot handy in his pocket. And here I am, 10 years later, running around getting after it and munching on raw veggies.

Funny how the good habits stick. This job will keep you moving, for sure. Might as well fuel up right!

One of my favorite things about this time of year is watching the trails come back to life. The snow is melting, the weather is warming up, and Summit County's hiking season is just getting started.

But with all that time outdoors comes something worth paying attention toβ€”tick season is here, too.

Ticks in Colorado are more common than people think, and they can carry some serious illnesses. The good news is that a little preparation goes a long way. Cover up with long sleeves and pants, use a good insect repellent, and always do a full tick check when you get home. If you have pets who hit the trails with you, don't forget to check them, too.

For a really helpful breakdown of what to know this season, from tick-borne illnesses to safe removal tips, this article from UCHealth is worth a read: https://www.uchealth.org/today/the-truth-about-ticks.

Happy Mother's Day to all the incredible moms in Summit County and beyond! πŸ’

If you're celebrating in the mountains this weekend, there's plenty to make it a special one. Local restaurants are doing brunch, there are candle-making and sip-and-paint events for a fun, creative outing, and shops are running Mother's Day sales.

However you choose to spend the day, I hope it's filled with good food, good company, and a little mountain magic!
