The best thing you can do first in the home buying process is get pre-approved! ⭐️

The biggest mistake I see potential homebuyers make is they start shopping without a pre-approval! 🙁

This means you don’t know what your price range is, what your potential monthly payment might be, or if you meet the preliminary requirements to obtain a home loan.

Ask your preferred lender or real estate agent what those steps look like. They usually consistent of the following:

1️⃣ Most Recent 2 Years of Tax Returns & W-2s (if employed by company)
2️⃣ Last 30 Days of Paystubs (if employed by company)
3️⃣ Previous 2 Months of Bank Statements
4️⃣ Credit Inquiry

With this preliminary information, a bank/lender can get you started on getting pre-approved ✅

They may require more information but these are almost always going to be required.
