Banks Don't Always Play Fair!
An elderly gentleman had been diagnosed with a terminal disease. The medical bills were racking up. He couldn't keep up with the bills and the mortgage payments. All he wanted was to sell the house, buy an RV and check off his bucket list with his wife while he still could. He didn't have the time or the energy to deal with showings or long closing times.
They were notified by the bank that they had filed for a foreclosure and set an auction date to take their home. They received threatening letters and phone calls. They felt hopeless, ashamed, and embarrassed. They didn't know what to do.
A foreclosure would not only make them lose their home and possibly be evicted on the streets but would also give them a 10-year credit nightmare, making everything more expensive and harder to find a new place to live. They were desperate for a solution.
They needed someone on their side. Our team sat down with them to understand their situation to determine the best option for their family. We were able to stop their foreclosure, stopped them from being evicted, and avoided a foreclosure on their record. They said they were grateful, relieved, and could finally breathe.
Many of you don't know this but, I was homeless growing up multiple times, a troubled teen, and a high school drop-out. I know what this feels like! It's okay to reach out for help. Please reach out to us. I want to hear your story and how we can help. God Bless!
