National Pet Poison Prevention Month
Learn more about how you can help your pet.

COMMON PET POISONS TO WATCH OUT FOR

• CHOCOLATE: Even small amounts can cause serious illness, especially in smaller pets.

• GRAPES & RAISINS: Can lead to kidney failure, sometimes even when only a small quantity is ingested.

• HUMAN MEDICATIONS: Pain relievers, cold medicines, and prescription drugs can be extremely harmful to pets.

• HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS: Cleaners, fertilizers, and rodenticides pose serious risks if chewed or swallowed.

TIPS TO PREVENT POISONING
• Safely Store All Medications
• Use Caution With Human Food
• Research Pet-Safe Houseplants
• Supervise When Outdoors

WHY DOSAGE & FREQUENCY MATTER
• A pet’s size, the amount ingested, and the frequency of exposure all affect toxicity.
• Even seemingly harmless substances can become dangerous with repeated exposure.
• When in doubt, always seek professional guidance.

SIGNS OF POISONING (May Include):
• Vomiting Or Diarrhea
• Lethargy
• Foaming At The Mouth
• Seizures

SAFETY STARTS WITH PREVENTION

Early action saves lives. In recognition of National Pet Poison Prevention Month, taking time to learn the risks and prepare ahead can help protect pets year-round.

Sending warm wishes this Valentine’s Day. Whether you are celebrating with a loved one, connecting with friends, or simply appreciating the beauty of the season, may the day be exceptional.

There is something to be said for the timeless logic of a Parisian evening. It serves as a reminder that whether in the heart of France or the vibrant neighborhoods of Nashville, the settings we choose for our most important moments matter.

Happy Valentine’s Day.
