If you want your home sold before the holidays, donāt wait until Novemberā¦hereās where Iād start.
First, Iād start decluttering little by little. Closets, countertops, the garage⦠all the spots that tend to collect stuff over time.
Next, Iād give the curb appeal some love. A fresh doormat, trimmed bushes, and maybe some fall flowers or pumpkins to make it feel warm and welcoming.
First impressions matter.
Then, Iād tackle any lingering to-dosā¦things like squeaky doors, chipped paint, or loose cabinet handles. They might seem small, but buyers notice.
Iād also start having conversations with real estate agents (yes, even if I wasnāt ready to list just yet).
Getting clear on the timeline, market trends, and pricing early makes everything smoother later.
Finally, Iād get a handle on what my home is actually worth todayā¦not last year, and not what Zillow says, but what a real buyer would likely pay right now in my neighborhood.
If selling before the holidays is on your mind, Iāve got a Seller Checklist Iād love to share. It covers everything youāll want to start thinking about this season.
