We take trees seriously here at Connestee. And with 3,900 acres of forested land there are thousands and a wide variety. One favorite is our mighty Hemlocks, which are under threat from an invasive species across WNC. Our Natural Resources Stewardship Committee has stepped up to apply treatment that slows the spread organizing a community wide effort that saved over a thousand in March. Now they're moving on to treat trees on resident properties at no cost. Thanks for all they do!
