Since the real estate rule changes of August 2024, more buyers are being asked to sign Buyer Agency Agreements before viewing homes.

Here's my concern...

Many buyers are signing legal contracts without fully understanding what they're signing.

A Buyer Agency Agreement can define:

✔ How long you're committed to an agent

✔ The geographic area covered

✔ Whether the agreement is exclusive

✔ How compensation works

✔ Your rights and responsibilities

You should never feel pressured to sign a contract you don't understand.

You should always feel comfortable asking questions.

And your agent should be willing to explain every single page before you sign.

The issue isn't the agreement.
