More than 3,500 field workers rolled out this morning to restore power from damage caused by a storm that had 15 cities in Southeast Michigan declare snow emergencies.

We know many of our customers have been affected by these back-to-back storms and we understand how frustrating it is. Please know we will be working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to all affected customers.

For your safety, do not approach any downed wire or anything that it may be touching. Wires may also be buried by yesterday’s heavy snow.

Please look up when you’re outside – if there is a line falling from a pole into the snow, stay 25 feet away. Assume all downed wires are live and dangerous and remain 25 feet or more away from them. Keep children and pets inside until our teams have time to assess damage and secure any downed power lines.

Expecting another winter blast starting tomorrow. Livingston County expected to get up to 8 inches of heavy snow. Use caution when shoveling, plan travel according to weather conditions, and be prepared on the road or at home. ❄️🚙⚠️
