e of the lanOkay so call me crazy! My wife & I bought a time share today.
We said no so the sales rep got a manager who introduced the "military discount" and offered us about 1/2 price for a unit that became available when someone upgraded. He agreed to sell it for the remaining balance of the original purchase price. He then threw in a bonus week for the firsrt 10 years, agreed to cover closing costs [$545] and reduced the price another $500. When Ellie saw pictures of his 2 daughters [5 & 7] she said she wanted to borrow them for a few hours and buy them dresses [remember we have only grandsons]. He agreed and it clinched the deal!

Virginia so will probably visit some old favorite places.

Had hoped to go to some open houses in Bristol and surrounding areas Sunday, but instead went to the Elks Lodge where we hosted ove 60 veterans from the RI Veterans Home for chowdrer, clam cakes, ice cream, and watermellon. They seemd to have a great time since the lodge is located on the Bristol waterfront overlooking the harbor. It was a terrific experience for me to be able to something to brighten the day for so many of our senior veterans.

Who was it that said going to the beach is a great way to relax? Let's see, find the beach chairs, umbrella, blanket, beach bag, towels, cooler, water bottles, some food, and sun screen, put it in the car, drive to he beach; wait in line, pay to park, then realize ou forgot the cart thing to put all of the stuff in. So then you lug the stuff about a 1/4 mile to the sand. When you get there you realize that to get to the water you have to walk over rocks [a lot of fun barefoot]. Since it is nearly low tide you then have to walk adout 50 yards just to get chest deep. When it's time to leave yo have to lug the stuff back to the car. I think I'd rather work!

Going to go to Horseneck Beach to see what the beach is like without 4 grandsons o wqatch! We get the local 3 tomorrow for the rest of the weekend. Should be fun!

A lot has been said in the press about real estate prices such as: how much have prices dropped, have they bottomed out, how long it is taking to sell a property. As a real estate professional, I decided to look at the statistics for Bristol County, RI (Barrington, Warren, and Bristol) and for the town of Bristol. I called up sales data for sold single family homes sold in the first half of 2011 and for year to date 2012. While ii realize that I’m a few days short of the first half of 2012, not much happens here the week before the fourth.
Here are the stats: (all figures are the mean)

Althea, the first cria [baby alpaca] born to Lucky Alpacas, our other business located in CO at our daughter's small farm. Holding her is our grandson, Dylan [will be 8 in July].

Just back from colorado Christmas with the grandsons, alpacas, chickens, ducks, bunnys, and ,oh yeah, our daughter/son - in - law. Left 6+ inches of snow on the ground to high winds. Time to get some new clients!!
