⭐️Get To Know Shelley⭐️

Shelley has called the hills of Northeast Tennessee her home for her whole life. After graduating from King University with a degree in English and Education, she then taught at Sullivan Central High School (her alma mater) for a decade. She has a Master’s Degree from ETSU in School Library Media, and an Ed.S. from Union College in Educational Leadership. Her experience in education affirmed her belief that regardless of her career path, she is passionate about working with people and building relationships based on trust, respect, and loyalty.

Shelley’s grandfather also demonstrated those qualities as a residential contractor in Bristol for fifty years, forty of them featuring him at the helm of the Roby Shelley Construction Company. Her dad, Mark Wingate, has been building beautiful decks and porches throughout the region for a couple of decades. Her husband is a general contractor who owns his own business called Martin Homes LLC.

Though the construction process was never really her thing, Shelley has always been fascinated by the way people can turn a house - whether it be a newly constructed blank canvas or an outdated fixer upper - into a home. For her, home is what it’s all about. She shares her home with her husband and two kids, Jack and Joli. They are also members of First Baptist Church in Blountville.
