Meet the Team Monday!
This week, we're featuring Officer Jonathan D. Loyd.
Officer Loyd joined the Broken Arrow Police Department in 2015 after serving 13 years on active duty in the United States Army as a Military Police Soldier. During his time with BAPD, he has served in several specialized roles, including Bike Officer, School Resource Officer, Peer Support Team member, and Field Training Officer. Through these assignments, Officer Loyd has helped mentor fellow officers, support employee wellness, and build positive relationships within the community.
Beyond his law enforcement career, Officer Loyd serves as the Lead Pastor of King's Grace Ministries in Broken Arrow, reflecting his passion for serving others both on and off duty.
Outside of work, Officer Loyd enjoys spending time with his family, attending his children's sporting activities, and spoiling his grandchildren. An avid cyclist, he regularly enjoys 20–30 mile bike rides and considers cycling one of his favorite hobbies. He is also continuing his education and is scheduled to graduate this October with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a focus in Cyber Security.
Officer Loyd credits much of his success to the support of his wife, Kecia. Together, they enjoy taking quick trips, making memories, and laughing their way through life.
Thank you, Officer Loyd, for your years of service to our country, our department, and the Broken Arrow community!
