Tulsa police say a homeowner was arrested after allegedly deciding the neighborhood mailboxes “needed to match.”

According to the report, he spent most of Saturday repainting mailbox posts and touching up faded numbers throughout the subdivision without notifying the HOA or any of the homeowners.

Several neighbors reportedly thanked him before learning he wasn’t hired by anyone, while others demanded the original colors be restored.

No damage was reported, but the HOA says the unauthorized work violated multiple neighborhood rules.
