This is something to be proud about our little town!
Broken Arrow is gaining national attention once again for its award-winning Rose District, with Assisted Living Magazine ranking Main Street as one of the “Top 100 Best Main Streets in the U.S. to Walk” according to a 2025 survey.
The survey of 3,000-plus Americans revealed the most walkable and “feel good” streets in the country. It focused on smaller towns and mid-sized communities.
“When it comes to wellness, we often think in terms of step counts, workout classes, or fitness apps,” said Jeremy Clerc, CEO and Co-Founder at Assisted Living Magazine. “But what if the secret to feeling better is hiding in plain sight—right in your town’s Main Street?”
City of Broken Arrow Business Retention and Development Coordinator Brent Brassfield agreed and said, “The Rose District is not only great for enjoyable walks but also serves as a destination for runners as well. The downtown is very safe, well lit, with wide sidewalks accented by over one hundred different strands of roses and additional beautiful landscaping.”
Broken Arrow’s Main Street is one of only two Oklahoma cities to make the national list, ranking at number 74, with Stillwater’s Main Street ranking at number 96 on the list, respectively.
The next time you want to take a walk, put on your walking shoes and stroll over to the Rose District to take advantage of a distinctive aspect of the City that you may have overlooked.
