Today is National Tea Day. My dehydrator has been busy the last two days drying things for tea. I have a big pile of raspberry leaves dried already. I currently have Apple mint and chocolate mint in the dehydrator.
Raspberry leaves have a wide variety of nutritional and health benefits. They have moderate levels of calcium, potassium, iron, manganese, and magnesium, as well as vitamins B, C, and E. They also contain ketones and antioxidants.
They relieve menstrual cramps, regulate hormones and stimulate milk production, increase fertility, and stabilize blood pressure.
Chocolate mint leaves hold an estimated 300 compounds and, have two times more antioxidants than broccoli, and four times more nutrients than oranges! boost the immune system, treats digestive issues, improves skin, helps reduce pain and inflammation, provides relief from respiratory problems, aids weight loss, reduces cold symptoms, boosts mood, increases energy, improves brain function, and relieves headaches.
Apple mint is a powerhouse in its own right. It's an antiseptic, relieves digestive problems, and has anti-cancer properties. It's also been used to prevent and reduce fatigue from epileptic seizures. It breaks down fat and boosts metabolism.
Crushing fresh mint leaves reduces pain from insect stings and bites and whitens teeth.
