6th Annual Bean Bags for Backpacks Raises $13,000 for the Brookings Backpack Project

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make our 6th Annual Bean Bags for Backpacks Tournament such a success!

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, participants, volunteers, and community members, this year’s event raised an amazing $13,000 for the Brookings Backpack Project.

This event would not be possible without the tremendous support of our major sponsors, whose generosity helps bring the tournament together year after year. We are also so thankful for our raffle sponsors who donated raffle prizes.

A huge thank you also goes out to every person who purchased raffle tickets, registered a team, participated in the tournament, volunteered their time, or simply came out to support the event. Every ticket purchased, every bag thrown, and every contribution played a part in reaching this year’s incredible total.

Brookings Backpack Project provides ready-to-prepare weekend meals and snacks for over 410 Brookings County children. For more information regarding BBP and ways to help or volunteer, please visit their website at
