Unfortunately, despite the efforts of Fair Housing advocates such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and many others, the Fair Housing Act of 1968 didn’t resolve the inequities we face in housing. Congratulations are in order for my sellers on the sale of their first home! This was quite the journey. They loved their home, but we're ready to move up, so that's exactly what they did. Finding a home blocks away meant they didn't have to leave the neighborhood they fell in love with too! It was such an honor to be their Realtor!

A couple weeks ago I was asked to be a part of a news story about down payment assistance programs for buyers. Yesterday it all came together and we got to shoot the story. Down Payment Assistance can be a great option for helping people realize their dreams of home ownership. I had the perfect client turned friend to highlight. She’s truly an advocate for encouraging people to take a leap of faith and go for it!

Last night I got the chance to see my great friend and mentor, Jamar Hardy, be installed as the 2024 Minneapolis Area Realtors President! CONGRATULATIONS! 🎉🎉🎉 It was so special to see your mom install you and hear the impacts you have made every step along the way up until that moment!

You are a true force. Your knowledge, experience, integrity, compassion, and genuine commitment to makings things better for the community and our industry as a whole is unmatched. Our association is so lucky to be under your leadership for the next year. THANK YOU for stepping up and opening doors for others. This role is not one to be taken lightly, requires way more time and energy than most can understand, and you are going to excel tremendously!
