Have you ever had a Pinsa Romana? Head over to to try this Roman style pizza that will absolutely have you coming back!

Montesacro is the first Pinseria Romana in the US, opening its first location in 2015 in San Francisco. Pinsa is the ancestor of Pizza, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Besides the delicious Pinsa, we indulged in the perfectly tender Polipo in Salmoriglio (Mediterranean octopus) and the Porchetta (roasted pork). Ended our meal with a delicious Pannacotta al Finocchietto (wild fennel pannacotta) and an espresso granita. We will be back to try their pasta! @ Montesacro Pinseria Brooklyn

We have incredible memories as children attending the feast. In many cases, it was the highlight of our summer.

Williamsburg reverts back to the “old neighborhood” during this time. People who have moved away will come back to celebrate. Old timers will come out to honor San Paolino and Our Lady of Mt Carmel. The smell of sausage and peppers will fill the air and the sounds of the Giglio Band will bring us back in time.

The neighborhood has changed, the landscape has changed, the people may have changed, but this beautiful tradition is alive and well. And every July in Williamsburg Brooklyn, we honor and celebrate our past. @ Italian Festival - Our Lady Of Mount Carmel
