🌟 Recap of AREAA Brooklyn's Impactful Week at the AREAA National Annual Diversity and Fair Housing Summit and Beyond! 🏡

AREAA Brooklyn had the incredible opportunity to participate in the AREAA National Annual Diversity and Fair Housing Summit from May 6-8. We engaged in vital discussions about fair housing issues, including discriminatory legislation like Florida's SB264, which echoes historical injustices against Asian Americans.

We presented our 3-point plan policy, addressing fair housing challenges and advocating for finance solutions and appraisal equality to boost AANHPI homeownership. We're committed to sharing these recommendations with elected officials to drive meaningful change!

We also celebrated our strong partnerships during the summit, including our collaboration with the National Association of Realtors. These partnerships are instrumental in advancing fair housing initiatives and empowering our community.

A historic moment unfolded as AREAA National took action by filing a lawsuit against Florida's discriminatory SB264. This law not only violates the Fair Housing Act but also serves as a stark reminder of past discriminatory laws like the Chinese Exclusion Act and Japanese Internment. We stand firm in our commitment to combatting discrimination and promoting equity.
