🏡 How to Find the Right Real Estate Agent (And Why It Matters) One of the biggest mistakes I see buyers and sellers make is choosing a real estate agent simply because a friend, coworker, or family member recommended them. While referrals can be valuable, your real estate transaction is too important to rely on a name alone. Instead, spend a little time doing your own research. Start by searching online, checking Google reviews, and even using AI tools to identify some of the top agents in your market. Look at their reviews, current listings, marketing quality, experience level, and overall reputation. Once you’ve narrowed it down, interview at least two or three agents. Ask questions about their marketing strategy, communication style, negotiation skills, availability, experience, and compensation. The right agent for someone else may not necessarily be the right agent for you. A little research upfront can save you a lot of stress and help you find the professional who best fits your needs and goals. ☕️ LOCAL SPOT SPOTLIGHT: BOCA CHICA CAFÉ ☕️ On a recent visit, I stopped by Boca Chica Café at 3305 Pablo Kisel Blvd. to check out one of Brownsville’s newer dining options. For lunch, I ordered the deshebrada plate, a South Texas favorite that’s always a good choice when you’re in the mood for some traditional comfort food. Boca Chica Café is a familiar local name with deep roots in Brownsville, and it’s great to see them continuing to expand and serve our community. The atmosphere is casual and laid back, making it an easy stop whether you’re grabbing breakfast, lunch, or meeting up with friends and family. Have you visited this location yet?
