We have for several years now been watching and reporting stolen listings here on Facebook. We look for our listings in marketplace and on posts on regular feed almost daily. We see them constantly and we have been reporting them as spam. Over the last few months Facebook has been refusing to remove them and so our stolen listings have remained up and the scammers keep stealing people's hard earned money by collecting deposits and sometimes rent for the first month and then disappearing.

Please verify anything that you see on Facebook. Please verify if the company or if the person is actually real. It can be difficult at times to do. One easy way is to look at the poster's other listings and when their account was started. We have noted a trend where they will have listings all over the country. Most of the time the poster's account was started within the last few years. This is not true for all but a most of the scammers that we have been catching and reporting fall within one or both of these identifiers.

We stopped any marketing on Facebook a few years ago because it has done nothing but gotten worse.
