Severe weather and thunderstorms are possible in our area over the next several days. Please stay weather aware, monitor forecasts, and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.
🌡️ With extremely hot temperatures expected, remember these air conditioning safety and energy-saving tips:
✅ Set your thermostat between 74°F and 78°F for comfort and efficiency.
✅ Keep doors and windows closed while the AC is running.
✅ Use fans to help circulate cool air.
✅ Avoid setting the thermostat extremely low—it won't cool your home faster and can overwork your system.
⛈️ If severe storms develop, be prepared for possible power outages. Have flashlights, charged devices, and emergency supplies ready.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued through 8pm tonight covering most of our forecast area, save for Muskingum/Coshocton (OH) Counties and Tucker (WV) County.
The main threat will be isolated to scattered instances of damaging wind (around 60-70mph), with smaller chances for large hail.
Remain alert to changing conditions and ensure you have ways to receive any warning (which highlights a more imminent threat) that may be issued for your location so you can take proper safety action.
