Tucked right in Millinocket, this brewery offers a great lineup of craft beers, a relaxed atmosphere, and a perfect spot to unwind after a day outdoors.

The best part? The drive there.

It’s a beautiful ride through the North Maine woods — keep your eyes open, because it’s not uncommon to spot a moose along the way 🫎.

Spring is the best time to see Moose along the side of roadways here in Maine, but you just never know when you might catch a glimpse of one of these giants wandering around!

🌲 Did You Know? One of Maine’s Most Unique Wildlife Experiences Is Right Across the Road From Whitetail Run! 🦌

The cabin is located directly across the road from the Brownville Deer Pantry, one of the most fascinating wildlife spots in the entire state. From December through March, the pantry provides supplemental feed to help local deer stay healthy through Maine’s long, harsh winters, when deep snow makes natural foraging nearly impossible.

At the height of winter, the activity is incredible—up to 200 deer show up daily for their evening meal. Last year alone, the herd consumed over 100,000 pounds of native oats, apples, and acorns! Many of these deer actually bed right on Whitetail Run’s property, tucking into the wooded hills behind the cabin before making their way down to the pantry each day… meaning you can often watch them pass by right near the house.
