What has happened across the state since Maine passed a law in 2022 making it easier for homeowners to add an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) on their property? Have people embraced ADUs? The idea was to help alleviate Maine's housing shortage, enable family members to live nearby, and give homeowners a way to earn extra income. We learn about ADU regulations, what sorts of ADUs are being built--and if they are meeting up to expectations.
