Our first session kicked things off at Live Oak Bank’s office, where our class had the opportunity to get to know one another, review the Leadership Academy outline, and learn what the year ahead has in store. Then, we headed over to Breakout Adventure for some escape-room fun! After working together to make our escape, we enjoyed lunch at Gnat’s, sponsored by Addison with New American Funding. Thank you, Addison, for helping us kick off the year!
For Session 2, we focused on Communication with guest speaker Terri Bennett, who gave us plenty to think about when it comes to communicating effectively as leaders. A big thank you to Sonja Bullard with Best Life Home Loans for sponsoring lunch! 💬
Our third session focused on Emotional Intelligence. We learned about the different personality “colors,” how we communicate and work with different personalities, and how understanding ourselves and others can make us better leaders. We were also thrilled to have Lauren Sobala with Golden Isles Mattress join us and share with the class. And she didn’t come empty-handed! Thank you for the delicious Grandy’s biscuit sandwiches and cinnamon rolls!
