BCS Modern

BCS Modern None of us are cookie cutter people living cookie cutter lives. So why live in cookie cutter neighborhoods with cookie cutter houses and cookie cutter HOA's?

We believe life is something to be experienced and enjoyed, full of thought, adventure, random happenings and boundless opportunity. Shouldn't the place where you live and the home where you dwell echo that same energy? We think so. And that is what we aim to accomplish. How do we achieve this? First we look for a site to build on, and we do this by finding great places-- places where people gathe

r, stroll, shop, chill, dine, relax, hang out and enjoy life. This is where the richness and randomness of life is budding, and we want to be a part of it. Somewhere near here is a site that is a diamond in the rough. Sure, these sites are generally more cumbersome than a blank canvas grazing field a mile outside the City limits, but its a design & development challenge we're eager to undertake. Once we find our diamond in the rough, the creativity and designing starts. What kind of dwelling goes here? Is it high density apartment living? Live/work mixed-use? Townhomes? Single family? It all depends on the site. We also scour the neighborhood and find inspiration -- what makes this place unique? What makes it interesting? We merge our findings with our own design sensibilities along with modern living amenities. More to come soon...!

One of our favorite artists, who just happens to live in Historic Downtown Bryan, Texas, Natalie Wadlington , is getting her on exibition at the Dallas Contemporary starting this April.

Her work is simply sublime. An excerpt from the DC;

Wadlington presents a new series of paintings depicting familiar characters, who come together in symbolic scenes that mirror humanity’s complex struggles in understanding and caring for mother earth. Inspired by the expansive and ever-changing sky in her new home state of Texas, the paintings appoint the celestial sphere as the covert protagonist and are set in all times of day, from dusk to dawn.

So make sure you put it on your calendar and make it a stop when you're in the area!
