No one loves solar more than me but what most people are buying could be financially devastating! Please reach out to a real estate professional and talk through it before you buy. Got a roof leak? Panels need removed and reinstalled to take care of it. Who pays for that? Want to sell your house? In a market where people are doing all they can to afford the house they want think they’re going to take on a $25-50k solar loan? Nope. You’re going to pay them off. Your buyer gets an amazing perk in the solar but at your expense and no real increase in the value of the home usually. Not saying it’s always bad but in my experience I’ve only seen it be positive twice and in both cases because they knew enough to design it themselves and not buy packages from a company. Just saying please add talking to a real estate professional to the research you do before signing on to solar.
